Chicago native Taylor Townsend brought a natural flair to the 2014 French Open. The 18 year old’s closely cropped copper colored ‘do needed little more than a head band to make it a winner.
According to Sports Illustrated Magazine’s website, Townsend was the first American to hold the year-end No. 1 Junior ranking since 1982 in 2012.
Despite being eliminated from this year’s tournament, Townsend is expected to be at the very beginning of an extraordinary career as a result of her powerful swing.
